STAAR UPDATE: As reported by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and various news outlets there were state-wide issues with the online STAAR test administration for today’s Grade 4 Writing, Grade 7 Writing, and English I EOC. Based on currently available guidance from TEA, Sabine Pass ISD has decided to reschedule these tests for the next scheduled make-up testing day Tuesday, April 13th. As of now, the online English II EOC is still scheduled to be administered on Thursday, April 8th. Please check the website for possible updates.

The Texas Education Agency has updated the state COVID-19 guidelines in response to the upcoming lifting of state mask orders. Sabine Pass ISD will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the district, that include the practice of social distancing and wearing of masks. Should there be any updates to the guidelines in the future, the district will reach out with the proper notification. The district will continue to provide as safe an environment as possible for our students and staff. Stay safe Sharks!
Sabine Pass ISD is aware of the mask order announcement made by the governor. We will continue to follow the school district Covid rules and guidelines going forward as we continue to receive guidance from the Texas Education Agency over the next few days. Our primary goal is the safety of our Sharks.
